    I have an Xbox 360 and was thinking of going out and buying the wireless adapter and Xbox live subscription. I need to know firstly though, would my connection be ok for online gaming?

    cant see any problems there should work fine. 3mb line more then inof its the ping that matters.

    www.speedtest.net

    check the ping on that and post the results.

    anything upto 90 is perfect for gaming. lower being better.

    So, which is it that matters? Is it the nearest server, Cork, or is it the servers abroad? I don't know.

    Dont rely on speedtest to check your ping times.

    Run a command prompt,

    start->run->type "cmd"

    A black box should appear, in there type

    ping www.boards.ie

    Once this is done type

    ping www.utservers.nl

    ping www.multiplay.co.uk

    ping www.kplay.de

    Post back the results here, you`ll receive 4 pieces of information for each ping

    There should all be below 50 though

    yeah mate they seem fine but it also depends on the person you are connecting to during the game. some games will work perfectly some may lag, its really a hit miss for everyone.

    on a side note its worth it as playing online is great fun!!!
