sat-nav for car and bike?

    hi all,
    well my sent my letter to santa yesterday and asked for a sat nav. looking for one that will do both on the bike and in the car. is there such gadget out there?
    ive seen the garmin 705 but is this bike specific or can ir be used in the car also??
    if there is, any recommendations thanks....

    Simple answer, no. It has a tiny screen, no voice prompts, a difficult interface, no via points, recalculates slowly for the speed a car travels at.

    Longer answer, you can use it if you are stuck but even a cheap car satnav will work far better. Get two.

    The 705 is however ideal for use on the bike- weatherproof, small, long battery life, all the bike functions, etc.

    Why don't you go for one of these also - it can help you find your way round shopping centres (and also your own home, if you ever get lost in it):)

    Someone obviously thinks so!

    I personally would hope that most people could avoid resorting to this sort of thing to work out how to get to the shop 50 metres down the mall.
