House Alarm/Security company in Dublin

    A thread by Keego27 about break ins in Artane/Beaumont got me thinking there. My mam lives in that area and has no security alarm for the house (she has a great, noisy guard dog though, so that's something at least). I want to buy her one for the house but I don't know which companies are good. If someone could recommend one, I'd really appreciate it! I've heard bad things about Eircom Phonewatch, is this correct?

    Sorry for bumping this, Mods (feel free to lock it if this isn't ok) but there is a thread about a break in on AH at the moment about break ins. The amount of people replying about having been burgled is making me a bit paranoid about getting a house alarm for my mam asap (she lives alone). Can anyone recommend a good company? Thanks!
