Any recommendations for hotels in Venice?

Heading over next summer so looking to get somewhere booked soon enough.

Getting the ferry over from Croatia.

We got the ferry from Croatia too (you going from Pula?) and stayed in the Antiche Figure. Would highly recommend it. Cheap (for Venice!) and straight across the brdige from the train station.

    Hotel Falier

Decent place, great location, cheap for Venice.

Hotel Opera, nice small trendy and relatively low cost. good restaurant downstairs from it, great food and reasonable prices for Venice. http://www.hoteldelloperavenice.com/

If you're looking for something do do, I heartily recommend the Musicaapalazzo, it's a shorter version of an opera performed for a small audience in a Venice Mansion. I'm defo not an opera fan, but me and the missus loved it!

Also, don't drink in Sam's bar and don't eat in and around the square, the prices are absolutely rediculous! There is a Jewish quater, around and outside there, you'll find some restaurants frequented by locals, good food good value.

Yeah, we are making our way up from Dubrovnik. Touring the whole of Croatia.

Getting plans in place so any travel tips would be great.

If you want to spend a little more and enjoy some luxury.

    Hotel Cipriani is the cheese!
