Does anyone here know anything about Cognac? I know someone who was given a bottle of Privilege d'Alexandre Bisquit Grand Champaigne cognac and they were wondering if it is special or expensive.

    Here's one for you:

If Cognac is a distilled wine from Cognac, then how can you have Champagne Cognac ? If it's form Champagne, then it's not Cognac and visa versa, right?

    (no googling)

PS no idea about the above Congac

Does it say VS, VSOP or XO on the bottle, or anything else?

"a Fine Champagne. Privilege d'Alexandre Bisquit is an unique blend of Grande Champagne at 42% alc. vol., about 80 years old. The Bisquit product line has developed along the so called Asiatic tastes"-http://www.eryximachos.de/torulanews/torulanews0500.htm

    is this the one http://www.cognatheque.com/boutique/fiche.php?langue=2&idfamille=10&idproduit=304?

Old thread, I know, but it should get better with age...

Anyway, I'm thinking of treating myself to a bottle of XO Cognac or Armagnac this year, while I've only had VSOP in the past. Does anyone know where in Dublin to find something out of the ordinary for sale? I want to avoid the big names if possible. I know about the Celtic Whiskey Shop, and am looking at the Cognac Park XO Traditional Reserve, for example. Suggestions welcome, but my budget won't stretch all that far...

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

For what it's worth, had hennessey xo recently and to say it's a big step up the ordinary hennessey vs would be an understatement. Massive dark rich flavour and very smooth.
