    Hi all,

Im not sure if this is in the right forum or if it should be in the fashion forum - apologies mods!

Was just givin a suprise of a skiing holiday for my birthday from my boyfriend! I dunno were we are heading until we go in january. But just wondering what to bring? Which clothes are suitable? Obviously warm and waterproof clothes but for apres ski, what is generally worn? I hate going out not dressed up! :(

If anybody could give me a heads up I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks a million!

Over on the Winter Sports forum there is also the F.A.Q. with a few pointers on what kit you'd want to bring with you.

As for the dressing up part, that does happen, but that might not be the kind of dressing up your on about. :D

Basically whatever you would wear on an evening out on a soggy night back home will be suitable, except for shoes that you cannot walk in on a icy road.

The standard Irish going-out dress code is used only in Ireland and the UK. In Europe, people dress differently. The difference is massive but it is very different to describe in words, especially without stepping on someone's toes - so I fear you will have to google it yourself. But as a general rule, high heels and short skirts are not a popular choice.
