These irons are getting rave reviews, and seem like a fantastic set to try out. Has anyone any idea if they are yet available in Ireland, or when they might be. also, what price the steel shaft version should fetch.

ive been keeping an eye out for Irons for some time, and these are making their way rapidly up my list, but i do need to try them on for size before id consider buying.

    Hi

I saw these irons up in American Golf , Tallaght. They had a couple of demo #6 irons. I was in a hurry so I did not get a chance to try them out but they look really good. They may have them in Dundrum too?

i tried out a demo 6 iron of the Tp version, the guy didn't have the price yet but around the €750 mark, too rich for my blood but they are very nice.
If i had the cash i would defo buy the Tp's.

I've swung a few of the r9 tps. They're pretty similar to the old r7 tps. My current irons. Must say I find they appear a little clunky compared to the r7s and possibly not quite as attractive.

I did see sergio using them at the madrid open a few weeks ago.

I have tried a 6 iron R9 tp it is the best club i have hit to date. forgiving and a super feel of the face. I got good feed back of flightscope with my smash factor averaging 139 (optium 130 for a 6iron). Taylor made are using the KBS shafts . The KBS design maintains a consistent amount of steel at any point along the length of the shaft. a must try.

    1 problem for me i don't have €750

I play with R7's currently with regular steel shafts but I had a few days in Portugal recently and hired a set of R9's with KBS stiff from Clubstohire.com ...... All I can say is.... I want them:D!!!
They felt fantastic and very forgiving.
I don't for one minute suggest you fly to Portugal to try them out but if you must...... ;).

Do try them out before you invest.... you may not like them!
(I tried out the stiff rather than regular shaft as since I started playing -approx 3 years - my swing has developed and speeded up to the point where I felt I needed stiff... I was right!)

I would be a bit wary about those prices and the supplier!! At the very least you will get stung for customs duty and VAT.... if they are genuine TM????
