    Yeah those are they. The guitarist from Anthrax says it's like geting punched in the face by a giant...which is enough reason for me to never ever buy one :)

    The BBE is a horrible sounding thing. It delays the HF to give the impression of more treble. These things are good for restoration work, but of all the boxes the Aphex Exciter is the king. A recent SOS review claimed that their plugin version was not as good as the Izotope exciter thingomebob. Haven't used it, but the noise reduction plugin is super duper.

    I own one and to be honest i've no idea what it does, its part of a compressor i bought, and it never gets turned on, supposedly it phase aligns the top end with the bass end, the how and why are beyond me. The whole unit was a bad buy as you can hear the compressor stepping through gain stages at it resets in the release part of the envelope.
    I should have gone for an alesis 3630
