Well how long is a piece of string??

There are a lot of variables in your question, ultimately though it comes down to the individual taking the exam. If you've gone to lectures and taken decent notes and done the tutorials and some past exam questions and have an understanding of the material, then you will be fine. If you've not done the above, well its likely you'll find yourself under pressure come exam time. The exams are set in a way to allow you to show your lecturer what you can do. There is a department panel that reviews the papers beforehand to ensure they're not too easy or too hard, though some slip through.

    Schols on the other hand...

They're as difficult as they are not difficult.

I have my moments. Too bad they always occur OUTSIDE college but what can you do eh?

On a philosophical note..........."Theres an exception to every rule, including this one"

Sitting your finals after 1st year? I'd imagine that's quite difficult, yes. The Annuals, on the otherhand, weren't too tricky. Only done 1st year and schols so far. 1st year was easier :P (though I did get the same mark...)
