Hi Folks.I have a 2002 petrol automatic ford mondeo.Gearbox packed in this week. Should I get a new or re conditioned box?Is there anywhere you would reccommed I get one? In Dublin area.I was told it would cost €1500 - €2500 to suply and fit?:eek:

They also supply Bohernabreena gearboxes in Dublin if you have a fear of leaving Dublin

You have 3 options
Secondhand unit from a scrapper - cheap but no guaruntee it'll be any better than the one you have
Recon unit - 6 month warranty, cheap enough, fitted by specialists
New unit - megabucks
