It started yesterday actually. You have to buy 8 copies I think? Token collection malarkey. I'd rather chew my own limbs off than but it TBH...

you only need 6 tokens btw.

    started in saturdays mail.

usual thing, collect, send off, get voucher...cant be arsed to put up details :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,319 ✭✭✭sineadw

6 is still too much. Actually, 1 is too much for me.

Does it say who's printing them? It'd hardly be in house would it? Just wondering about quality..

    They print them themselves.

Sorry every one if you are disappointed. I only now know you need to collect tokens. I thought I was getting a bargain!

While the Mail would not be everybody's cup of tea, you are still getting a bargain. 6 tokens will cost €7.20 to collect, so that's all the photobook will cost.

Is it too late to jump on the gravy train, then? If I didn't get Saturday's paper, can I not get the album? :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,319 ✭✭✭sineadw

I think there are 8 editions all in all - you have to get 6 of them, so you're probably ok..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,484 ✭✭✭Quackles

Cool, thanks.. I've been meaning to test out photobooks for a while!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 454 ✭✭mixer101

    First things first!:
The paper costs €1.00 Mon-Fri and €2.00 on Sat & Sun.
The promotion requires you to collect 6 tokens, so if you start today, you can get six tokens by Saturday.
    quote:
"The FREE photobook is the Medium 30-page 'Classic' photobook (RRP €34.95) plus postal charges €6.61"
When you collect your tokens, you send them to the Daily Mail and then they send you back by letter a web address and a unique login or password code plus step-by-step instructions. Takes about 28 days from placing your order on the website....

Full details are in today's paper should you choose to accept this mission :)

BTW, I have absolutely nothing to do with the Daily Mail 'cept the fact that I buy it regularly and take advantage of their promotions from time to time.
It's a fair offer IMO, €6.61 plus the cost of the rag for a hardback 30 page glossy photobook, maybe even in time for Chrimbo too!

Everyone to their own, if you don't like the rag don't buy it .... simples. :D

Thanks for the info.. Was there a token in yesterday's then? I didn't spot them, just the ad...

So you have to collect the tokens and pay for postage? I'd be happy with collecting tokens but not too keen on paying postage too...

Garry82: There is free postage. Just collect tokens each day this week.

    Hi all,

Just wondering does anybody have 1 token that they don't need? I managed to collect 5 tokens but was unsuccessful yesterday. Would really appreciate if someone could help me out and I will even pay-up the €1 paid for the paper!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,218 ✭✭✭padocon

Sorry I don't, remember it can only be yesterdays token.

Sorry yes I should have specified - the token I need would have to be Saturdays (14th Nov) OR either from last weekend (Sat 7th and Sun 8th).

Would appreciate if someone could help me out!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,371 ✭✭✭acquiescefc

1 token needed also if possible

from friday 13 or saturday 14 if possible.

tempted to send the 5 tokens with a € in it.

I was a bit OooohAaaahy when I saw the ad on tv, but one of the last shots of the actual photobook you get.... maybe I was being judgemental, its was a very quick flash on the screen Im sure... but it looked pretty ropey! Looked very cheap and naff to be honest (but like I said - I hardly got a good look!)

Also, just a quick look at Blurbs pricing - http://www.blurb.com/create/book/pricing - they hardly charge too extortionate prices, considering the ones Ive bought are pretty gorgeous ... Having said that I havent actually been arsed to make one myself yet! The DM offer seems to be a lot less work!

Contacted tictacphoto about it and got this reply...
    Dear,

Following the extraordinary success of the promotional offer that entitled you to a free photo product, we are forced to shift production. Your order will therefore only go in production for April.

On behalf of TicTacPhoto, I’m sorry for these inconveniences.

As compensation, we offer you a 50% off code valid for your next purchase. This code will be added to your order.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding,

    Best regards,

You can also log into the tictacphoto website and see the status of your order. Mine is still on stage 1.....recieved my order.

No, but I got an email a week ago saying it was dispatched. About 2 weeks ago I checked the order status and it had to changed from "order recieved" to no details.

Should recieve it any day now.... (7 working days to deliver)

    Good stuff !

My status has now changed to
    3: your order is printed
but not stage 4: your order has been finalised. !

A slow process it seems !
