Myself and my wife both live in the US. We are both looking at jobs in Ireland as we want to move home. Believe it or not but Ireland is alot cheaper than where we live right now. ie. Renting, health insurance and childcare.

My problem is well for both of us do we just take the plunge and move back or just fly back for the interviews. My wife works in a specialized field in Healthcare and there has been openings recently. We cannot afford to spend 500 dollars a time to fly back for an interview especially considering unemployment in Ireland. Is it worth the risk.

In the same situation, if anyone has any advice it would be great.

I was in the US, and applied for a few jobs, had a good talk to recruiters and one prospective employeer, I was coming home at christmas then going back to the US for 3 months.

did the interview and got offered the Job.

If people are intrested in hiring you they will help you organise an interview or do a phone interview.

To be honest Unless they are intrested they won;t bother with the hassle of interviewing you if they have easier options, so if someone will interview you then they are pretty intrested i\'d say

Try to organise a few interviews and then fly back for a few days.

though I must say I am seriously questioning my decision to come back fro the states.

PM me if you want to discuss further
