So who is your favourite golfer on tour?

For me it has to be the one and only Graeme "GMAC" McDowell. What a player.

Ok he's not on tour any more but my favourite player is Ben Hogan.

As far as current players go, I obviously watch Harrington with interest.

I like the way Martin Kaymer swings and plays.

Ross Fisher comes across as one of the nicest guys you could meet. I love watching play especially in the match play format. I like most of the Irish Guys too from any dealings I've had with them.

The one golfer I would follow all the time on the course is Quiros. His rounds are never boring and when he is on form he is a serious player!

Rich 'You the Beem!' Beem. Always good to watch and funny in interviews. "Bud sweat and tees" was an excellent book.

it was always big john daly. i just always loved the killer swing and his carefree atitude. i also have a big overswing although it doesnt quite work out the same way:rolleyes:

lately though McIlroy has just amazed me. the ease at how he gets around the course is unreal. God if he ever starts holing some putts he'll be rivalling tiger. he sems to have a good method but there just not goin in and it is getting to him. hopefully he wont end up like Garcia

always go for the Irish guys first and foremost.

Was always a fan of John Daly for many reasons.

Also became a fan of Jesper as I caddied for him ages ago down in Kerry before the Open. Sound out guy gave me nice tip and one his favourite peak caps.

I always really liked Corey Pavin. Short hitter but great golfer and wonderfully, nice guy. Met him and spoke to him at the Ryder Cup in the K Club.

I'll never forget the wood he hit to the 18th in the 1995 US Open at Shinnecock Hills. One of the all-time shots..................

Seve in his prime for me.........im sure everybody would agree on that.
Its harder to pick a modern player though because they are all so similar in many ways.
I would pick Trevor Immelman because he is of similar build to me and has a lovely golf swing. I stood close to him a few years ago while he hit a 3wood off the fairway in Baltray. Wow, what a simple motion that exploded through the ball. He creamed it with beautiful tempo and effortless power.
I was delighted when he won the masters.

My favourite of all time is Greg Norman. What an awesome player he was, and could have been a 6 or 7 time major winner.
Currently my favourites are Cabrera and Ernie. They make the game look so simple.

What are you on about "so what"?

Your shocked smiley just because someone said he doesn't like Fisher. Do you feel he should be universally loved and worshipped?

Gmac is fun to watch but can't stand his accent. For niceness, have to go with the usuals Darren Clarke, Ross Fisher and Freddie Couples. For excitement it's Woods and McIlroy. But my overall favourite player to watch is Colin Montgomerie, even if he is a bit of an ass. No nonsense, gets on with it and always entertaining, even if it is often cringeworthy stuff! I was almost in tears after the '06 US Open :(
On the other end of the spectrum lie Kenny Perry and Jim Furyk, both contenders for most boring players to watch in golf. I also have little affection for Kim and Paul Casey, their arrogance is off the charts.

Harrington, Woods and Mickelson. Chances are if the shot is on these three will go for it.
