Invest in a fund that provides exposure to 30 of the largest publicly quoted companies involved in clean energy production or the manufacture of equipment and technology for that industry. The fund is designed to track as closely as possible the performance of the S&P Global Clean Energy Index.

    Clean Energy Freeway Snapshot

    Objective
To provide high long-term capital growth by tracking the performance of 30 of the largest publicly quoted companies involved in clean energy production or the manufacture of equipment and technology for that industry.

    Investment Strategy
QUINN-life invests in a trust that is a pooled investment holding a selection of shares designed to track as closely as possible the performance of the S&P Global Clean Energy Index. This fund provides the investor with a total return in that dividends are reinvested.

    The Index
The S&P Global Clean Energy Index aims to track the performance of a selection of companies whereby the majority of their business is generated from the clean energy industry. The index is designed to provide liquid exposure to the leading publicly listed companies in the global clean energy business, from both developed markets and emerging markets.

Growth of $1,000 in the S&P Global Clean Energy Index since 1 January 2004

When comparing returns across indices, care should be taken to note the time frame represented
in the graphs and figures. Long established indices are shown from 1st January 1996 while the newer, generally emerging markets indices, are shown from their individual start dates. Cumulative performance
    1 Jan 2004 to 30 Sept 2009 45.20%

    Average annualised performance
    1 Jan 2004 to 30 Sept 2009 6.7%

    Source: Standard and Poor's Micropal.
Performance shown is the index performance before charges.

The index is shown in US dollars and no account is taken of currency gains or losses.

    Analysis
If you see a drive towards cleaner, renewable energy and are interested in investing in companies whose technologies produce lower carbon emissions relative to traditional fossil fuel energy production, this fund gives the opportunity to invest in more sustainable energy production.

    Suitability
In addition to the normal risks associated with equity investment, single sector investments will typically exhibit higher volatility. The fund offers high growth potential but with the possibility of extreme ups and downs. This fund is a high risk option. There is multi-currency risk inherent in this fund.

The above table calculates the percentage total rolling return for the periods shown on each of the Quinn Life funds. Rolling returns are useful for demonstrating returns for holding periods similar to that experienced by the investor. For instance, the one-day return calculates the total return from the previous pricing day to the current pricing day. The one-year return calculates the total return on the fund from the pricing day exactly one year ago to the current pricing day.

    Fund Charges
    Administration Fee: 1.5%
    Bid Offer Spread: None
    Allocation Rate: 100%
    Entry / Exit Charge: None

    Warning
The value of your investment may go down as well as up.
Past Performance is not a reliable guide to future performance.

Thinking about setting up a regular savings scheme investing in the above fund.

Does anybody have any experience in dealing with Quinn?
