we stayed in the deevana spa resort 2 years ago. great hotel. about a 10 minute walk to bangla road. there is a tuk tuk rank outside aswell as a laundry. there is so many hotels to choose from. ive never heard any bad reports about them. eating out and drinking was so cheap. markets were great.

I stayed at the "Le Meridien" which is a five minute tuk tuk ride outside patong on the road to Karon. Pretty good if your looking for a relaxing stay and also easy access to the nightlife in patong.
