Just been listening to Chrysler Group's Five Year Business Plan. Seems there will be a lot closer integration between the Chrysler and Lancia brands going forward, with common models to carry either badge.

Future of Dodge here could be dodgy - speaker said that it will only remain in certain regional markets as a speciality brand. Jeep seems fairly secure though from what he was saying.

It would seem to make sense that they would share platforms, with Fiat unable to shift larger cars in any numbers, I'd imagine Alfa will be in that mix too, sharing platforms and components.

Interesting that this article suggests that the Chrysler brand might be doomed at least on this side of the Atlantic:

I'd also pitty the day that Alfa Romeo puts their badge on a Chrysler SUV.

They've added a bit more detail about future launches. The existing D-segment Sebring and E-Segment 300C will get facelifts next year, in 2012 there will be a new C-Segment saloon while 2013 sees a new Sebring and a mid-sized Crossover also in the D segment. These three vehicles will be based on Fiat platforms. There will also be a B segment small car in 2013 which will be produced by the Fiat Group. Quite an aggressive timeline as it seems these models are new initiatives as a result of the current difficulties.

They talked briefly about Alfa Romeo, basically there are no immediate plans to bring it to the US, and as regards the badge engineering, it seems the focus will be on common Lancia and Chrysler models (although obviously Alfa models do share platforms with Lancia as well).

The other thing they talked about integrating the Fiat and Chrysler Group sales structures and networks. Not too sure how good that would be for Chrysler in Ireland though if they were to fall under the existing Fiat set-up....

Yeeees. Chrysler pulls out of Europe and a year or two later I buy a cheap 300c.

    Yeeeees :)
