Ive to take 3 weeks holiday in January, and I dont know what to do :o

I'm up for a holiday but the time doesnt really suit my friends, and alas I must take the 3 weeks in January.

Im definitly going to go travelling, no point moping around at home.
Wheres good that time of year?
Also, Im not used to travelling by myself, and destinations / tours suited to the single traveller?

I know I should really say what my hobbies and interests are, but tbh I pretty much love everything from relaxing to activity, from history and scenery to 3 weeks on the batter.

So many options! What's your budget.

Maybe start with a tour company's website like Kumuka or one of those. The would do 21 days around the middle east or central america or something. If staying with a tour is not your thing just steal their itineraries. I always laughed at people on those but after hearing about my friend's one in South America I was slightly envious of the things she did that we never heard about.

Weather in Central America will be lovely, and lots of solo travellers there. Solo travelling can be great if you keep yourself busy. I did Spanish courses in South America, pottery course in Malaysia and volunteering in India and a few others.
    Have fun!

Interrailing is a good option if you've only got a short time and a budget. You could see ten european cities (if not more) in three weeks! There's so much diversity and culture in Europe, I did it and loved every minute.

Hostels are always friendly and good places to meet people.

Weather will probably be cold but dry in Jan.

    Good Luck!!

I traveled from Berlin to Rome in December 2006/January 2007 for four weeks by myself. There are not as many tourists (but just enough backpackers for you to meet interesting people in the hostels) which is a really good thing in places like Venice and Rome that would usually be bursting with Americans. One of the best times of my life for sure. Go for it.
