Linksys WRT54G2 as WAP

    Hi
I'm trying to add this Linksys router to an existing wired LAN to provide wireless access in a classroom.

I have tested it at home and it works. I connected the router to my home broadband modem/router via the LAN ports at the back of each, and disabled DHCP on the Linksys. With this setup, I can access the internet from either router either wired or wireless.

However, when I take the Linksys to the classroom, when I connect it to the network point on the wall, the LAN port activity light does not come on.
One thing I thought is that I might need to use a crossover cable - but apparently the ports on the Linksys are auto-sensing.

Anyone got an idea why I'm not getting that ethernet link on the router ? Any other suggestions about the set up are welcome also.
