So, I was sent my first jury duty summons on October 22, to attend court on December 1. I sent in the form and said that I was exempt because at the time I was in full time education in college, since then I have dropped out. Should I contact the court and tell them that I am now eligible?

Did the circuit court clerk send you back a letter saying you were released from duty??

Then you have not been released from the summons and must still attend the court for jury duty. Sorry

I don't mind doing jury duty, I just don't want to get in trouble

Pop along on the day - it seems you wern't actually exempted although you wouldn't be the first not to get that letter - you'll either be on the panel and subject to being put on a jury or not and you'll find out on the first morning. There's no question of you getting into trouble - fair play to you for fulfilling your obligation conscientiously. Many don't.
