Not sure if I'm in the right area, couldn't find a marine thread..

I've got a Black Moor that I've had for the last 4 years, it's recently gotten swim bladder, 2 questions...

1-should I put it into an isolation tank for treatment?
    2-what would have caused it??

    Thanks in advance,
    Seanie

one of ours got that about a year ago - floated on it's side for about six months  but back to normal now, you can try getting the treatment for swim bladder from the pet shop, i'm not sure if you need to oslolate him - think it's a bacterial infection

Boil a pea and put a pin in it and give it to him . It helps clear it up .

By the way my Black Moore is turning gold !!

black moors are prone to swim bladder problems. they are a man made creation from cross breeding different species, and black moors are known to turn a gold or silvery grey colour as they get older.
