Hi,has anyone been on a snow holiday and not gone skiing.I would like to bring my wife and family on a snow holiday, but not go skiing if that make sense.Would also like to do it on a budget,so somewhere nice but not exspensive to stay or eat/drink out in.Would like to go walking in the snow, maybe snow mobile etc. Also relaxing and maybe taking in a spa/leisure.Any ideas?

I would suggest somewhere in Austria or Switzerland. I would say you need to pick somewhere that has a lot of things to do besides skiing.

Two that jump to mind are -
Zell am See - you can ice skate on the lake, go for walks, go to the pool, go to a hotel for a spa visit Salzburg on the train one day
Mayrhofen - Dog sledge rides, visit the pool/hotels for a spa, to up on the glacier, visit Innsbruck for the day

There are lots of other places and I would suggest picking up a ski brochure and looking at resorts and what other things they offer.

Don’t forget though that in any ski resort you can go up the mountain as a foot passenger and simply sit up in the sun and have a bite to eat and a few drinks or play in the snow.
