I’m connected with: Vodafone Mobile Broadband modem.

My Speed & Badwidth are as follows:

    Speedtest:
    Download 1.39mb/s
    Upload 0.34mb/s

    Bandwith:
    Download 307 kbps
    Upload 218 kbps

I can’t get VoipCheap or Skype to work on my Notebook.

I’m guessing it will never work? – Although when I talk to the Vodaphone Assistants in their shop they tell me they have the same connection, and no problems!

    Any experiences out there?

Honestly, I've never heard anyone claiming sustainable success with VOIP over mobile broadband. Although your speeds indicate adequate bandwidth for VOIP, latency and jitter are equally important. That is not measured by most speed test tools.

If you want the real answer go over to Blueface.ie and use their test tool. This performs a more rigorous test, with emphasis (obviously) on VOIP capability.

I can’t get VoipCheap or Skype to work on my Notebook.

    Why? What happens?

    What Operating System?

Check your connection .... there is a separate VOIP test included

Mobile broadband in on any network is rubbish for VoIP.

You end up having to talk military style and repeat yourself all the time..

    IT's ME .. OVER ..

    WHO ..
    ME..OVER ..

    :D

I've tried it out with various setups on Vodafone Ireland, Vodafone NL and T-Mobile Germany.
