Central Heating Timer Wiring

I have just swapped out a faulty analog APT heating timer with another new one. However, after wiring it up, the light is on even when it is in the 'off' position.
Have I wired it incorrectly? There were 6 wires in all -
2x blue - going into the neutral.
1x brown - going into 'live in'
2x brown - going into 'live out'

I had marked that central 'live in' wire with a marker before freeing the wires from the faulty timer - but didnt realise it was non-permanent marker so it must have come away with my fingers  So theres a possibility that the brown wires might not be wired correctly.
However, apart from the light, the timer appears to work.

Do I have a problem here or is this some updated form of this particular timer?
