    This is how the fairytale went...

    Girl meets Boy one night 3 months ago. Boy sweeps Girl off feet.

    They arrange to meet up in following weeks. Then Boy tells Girl one week after their first date that he got back with his Ex and would not be able to meet her again.

    Then, 2 weeks later, at 12midnight, Girl receives a text from Boy saying that he really misses her.

    Girl was very confused but replied the next day anyway. Boy did not reply back.

    Can anyone shed light on what Boy is up to?

    Boy was drunk. Drunk plus access to mobile phone equals drunken texting.

    Ignore it.

    A text after midnight saying someone misses you is an invitation for a booty call imo.
    He probably sent out a round of texts that night and some other poor girl just got back to him before you did.

    Erase his number, you'll be better off.

    It does sound like a drunken booty call. Maybe the ex left him again or he had a good few and wanted a place to rest his head... ;) God only knows, but I doubt he's realtioniship material.
