    Gardaí seize 100kg cannabis haul in Wicklow

    Cannabis worth over €1m has been recovered during a joint operation involving Gardaí and customs in Co Wicklow.

    Over 100kg of the drug had arrived through Dublin Port from Holland concealed in a consignment of lamps and clothing.

    The cannabis was seized in an operation yesterday at Hempstown near Blessington.

    Investigations into the organised crime gang behind the seizure are continuing.

    you do know that there are drugs in every part of this country? just cos its some random place nobody has ever heard of, doesnt means there are no drugs or scumbags there....ffs.

    Me balls its blessington. There is nothing in hempstown except a few houses and a dodgy looking place where loads of trucks are stored.

    Very few places were drugs are not hidden .Lamp shades and anything with a hollow space are the most obious places to conceal them

    On a slightly off topic note, if I ever decide to deal narcotics, I will only sell to the members of An Garda Siochana - judging by their market value estimates, they are mugs.
