app to output data on image files

Hi there,

I am looking for some software/application to takes an image file which is a photo taken by a digital camera, and tells me the date it was taken, the camera it was taken with etc.

Anyone know any such application that could do this?

What you're looking for is an application that can extract EDIF data. There are lots and lots of them.

I take it you have a windows machine?

or (if you're using XP at least) right click on the image, click on 'properties' in the context menu, then go to the 'summary' tab and click 'advanced'. This will give you most of the relevent EXIF data. No need for a tool.
