Have been using my series 5 tv as a screen for my laptop using a 1.5m vga cable. Recently bought a 5 metre vga cable so i can veg on the sofa whilst lurking around boards. Problem is i have to connect the 1.5 metre vga everytime i want to do this to setup the connection. If i just have the 5 metre plugged in the tv is not picking it up for some reason, i then have to connect the smaller cable, press f8 and ctrl to get the picture up and then reconnect the longer cable which then works fine. I don't like to do this as i don't want to be screwing around with the ports on the tv too much if i can help it. Is there something i'm missing or is this just a faulty cable?
