    Hi,
I am an auditor at one of the big 4 in financial services. I am into the last 18 months of the contract and I think now is a good time to be thinking of what comes next.
What kimd of jobs do people in my position normally go into?

A lot of people end up being accountants in industry after they finish in practice.

For me personally it will be ABA (Anything but Accountancy).

By FS, was it auditing Funds or Banks/Credit Unions?

Try to get out of anything to do with reporting and into applied finance (e.g. corp fin, project finance etc.) or maybe financial business intelligence (e.g. financial MIS).

Funds, SPVs, Banks, Treasury companies, pension schemes....all that sort of thing. I guess based on this, I should be looking at these sectors. What I am not sure of is the specifics of the kind of jobs that ex auditors get in these areas.
