depends on what windscreen washer fluid you're using. drain the tank and get some nice new stuff instead.

the bottle could be burned from something sitting beside it in the engine bay.
jsut stick in some screen wash and thatl make it smell nice for ya

    Hi all,

Thanks for the replies.I will try drain the tank and get new screenwash.
I just have one final question. The car is 2.0 CDTI 130BHP. It is economical but I was reading on the web that it is possible to get ECU retuned so that increase torque and more fuel efficient. Would it be worth doing this on this car.Commute over 60 miles a day to work. To be honest there is not much poke when taking off in low gears.
Any advise would be great. Thanks

sounds like a remap is what you're looking at. Quick search here will explain all

I'm sure any searches will throw this up, but make sure you don't invalidate your warranty. a relatively new modern diesel engine has an awful lot of potential weak points, and you need the distributor on your side. make sure Opel are ok with any changes you make.
Also bear in mind that when you get a few thousand k's on them, diesel engines become more driveable
