Simple one, but make sure you're not in "work offline" mode :)

Do any other net programs work, msn, skype or anything like that you may use?

I wouldn't be the best to offer advice on this, other simple problems could be to make sure the wireless is actually enabled, there should be a button, or maybe function key on your laptop to switch it on. Also make sure your password is right.

Wouldn't be too sure at all to be honest. Only other thing I could suggest is try "repair" the connection. If you right click the wireless signal icon in the status bar there should be a repair option.
