Projectors - Help!

Morning, I need advise on a new projectors, and I am a complete virgin at this so please tell me in laymans terms. I am a trainer so I need it for presentations and training. I have to be able to play DVD's which I do from my laptop at present but I need to get speakers too. Can anyone help :confused:
