Any ideas where I could get a laptop with this spec with this budget?
I don't mind second hand as long as it's still under warranty. All the ultra light sonys seem to be e1500 +

    Laptop: Budget Max e1000

    Most Important:
    Weight less than 4pounds/1.81kg

    Essential:
    13-14 inch screen, no bigger
    Memory card reader
    Integrated camera and microphone
    Cd/dvd rw
    HDMI port
    2 usb at least
    Wireless
    Windows Vista or 7
    Lots of ram
Charger must be small and light
Hard drive capacity of 120gb or more

    Not Essential
    Bluetooth and Infrared
    Spectacular graphics
    Long battery life

    Not Important at all
    Gaming capacity

Could you give us an Idea of how much ram?120gb hard drive is tiny these days so I'd assume you want 2gb of ram?

First of all cross sony of your list,They're overpriced..

If you look at the dell website they have a new range of inspirons with a Z on the end,These from my view are more compact lightweight machines..

For €749 you could get this,Which is a 1.79kg machines with a possibility of 6.9 hours(according to this reiview on power saving mode and 3.5 hours running power hungry apps etc(taken from same review) So it's a pretty good battery..

    Dell Inspiron 13z ?

    http://www1.euro.dell.com/ie/en/home/Laptops/inspiron-13z/pd.aspx?refid=inspiron-13z&s=dhs&cs=iedhs1&~ck=mn

The processor isnt very powerful, but thats becoming common with these CULV machines sort of filling in the gap between a netbook and a decently-powered laptop.

Dell also have the Vostro's which may be of interest to you.

the Vostro 1320 is approx 1.8KG and has:

    P8700 2.53Ghz Core2Duo
    4GB DDR2 RAM
    256 MB Nvidia Geforce 9300
    320 GB 7200 RPM HDD

for around €750 (once VAT has been included).

And the Vostro 1220 which is approx 1.5KG and has:

    P8700 2.53Ghz Core2Duo
    4GB DDR2 RAM
    Intel Integrated GMA 4500HD
    320 GB 7200 RPM HDD

    for around €700.

up the RAM to 8GB on both and i think they still come in at less than €1000 after VAT. They don't have HDMI though and they aren't great for graphics, but you'll struggle to find something below 2KG with a decent dedicated graphics card.
