what setup wud get this sound?

any ideas how to get an elec sound from an acoustic like this? any idea what kind of pickups, and pedals it would take to get this. i toyed around with the acoustic years ago tryin to get something like this sound. with painful results. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9gAqvttwq8

A magnetic pickup and some sort of overdrive (probably tubescreamer) used sparingly. Seymour Duncan, Shadow and several other companies make magnetic pickups for acoustics. The Seymour Duncan Woody is a nice one.

Another big part of it is technique.

thanks for that Dord. im gonna try and check it out. i suppose its running through an Od pedal. i have a few lying around at home id like to try it out with. an interesting ol' sound.
