    We are looking for a dance teacher to teach us a simple routine for our first dance. We are in the South East but would travel within reason. Please Help!! We are getting married in 8 weeks.:eek:

    get the band to do a waltz. its a simple beat 1 -23, 1 -23, 1 -23.

    man starts off on R foot taking a small step forward (1). The L foot then goes at about 60 degrees roughly in line with R (2) and then closes in against the R (3).

    lady is obviously in reverse.

    Ask band to encourage bridesmaid(s) and groomsman/men to get on the floor fairly quickly and then the parents and then everyone.

    as most Irish things, 'twill be grand on the day!

    If still stuck, call to hotel and ask manager or whoever you arranged wedding with. They should be able to show you.
