Trek or a Raleigh hybrid?

Hi, I am looking to buy a hybrid bike, for general use on country roads and to help me get fit. I am trying to make the choice between the two following bikes: Womens Raleigh metro GLX plus, which comes equipped with everything I need like mudguards, water bottle, lights, lock, pump, carrier.
Or the Trek 7.3FX WSD which comes with nothing and would have to add the extras. Both feel good to ride and the shop told me that both were very similar in terms of quality but the Raleigh gives more extras, while the Trek has a lighter frame (probably because it doesn't have those extras yet)

Which would you recommend - or are they too similar to make a recommendation?

I think it's fair to say that Trek would generally be considered the better brand; raleigh are trading on a legacy name.

The Raleigh is more of a city bike for commuting, runs to shops etc. I think the Trek would be better for longer spins if you were looking to get fit.

I have the model up, the trek 7.5 in the blokes version. If you could stretch the extra, I think it would be worth it for the extra turn of speed you get.

The Raleigh is a good around town bike. it is quite heave but as you said has everything. Even hub dynamo.

The Trek is the better bike. Quality and design. It gives you more options long runs and short runs
