When i first got my mac i remember seeing that you could open dashboard then select one of the widgets and close dashboard but still have that widget out to use. I've search for ages on my computer and typed in any number of phrases into google about it and I can't find it.

Does anyone know what I'm reffering to and how to do it?

Terminal is in Applications > Utilities. You can paste the line right in and hit return.

Everytime you open and close the terminal it'll re-summon the widget back inside it's confines.
