getting MW2 early?

anywhere in dublin where they may be selling the game early

i've got a few games the day before from gamestop but anyone know for sure anywhere thats doing it?

Speaking of downloading it, Steam are charging €60 for it. Terrible value.

Any shop that sells it early runs the risk of losing a lot. Distributors would get huge amounts of stick from IW/Activision and in turn the shop that sold it might find that they have to try and source stock elsewhere in future...not to mention the possibility of legal action.

I might try going to XtraVision right before they close at 11, they might give it to me? it's only 1 hour before...

A lot of Xtravisions are doin midnight openings, Donaghmede is anyway. Might need a pre-book tho.

Friend of mine has it on the xbox with a week says its brilliant, hasnt chanced it online.

Iw have said that multiplayer stats will be reset launch day to make it fair. So from that point of view getting it early is redundant. Also it might make MS think you have a modded box if you play early and a ban might ensue. That is if your silly enough to go online. Id love to get it early to play single and spec ops they look great

i read on infinity wards forums that if it is a legit game (you bought it in a shop) XBL cannot ban you
so if its legit you can play online with no worries

Yea, but as its still a few days off of the release date, anyone playing it is playing an illegal copy. And hence, bans ensue.

You wont get banned, but there servers for the game arnt online yet (well not servers but you know what i mean) so you cant go online with it yet, if you work at gamestop or gamestation or something you get it a day or two early, no biggy if you have to wait till Tuesday morning/evening/night to get it, not like its gonna disappear or anything...

Donaghmede has an xtravision? thought it just had gamestop and golden disks?

We've had as much legal stuff to sign as I had when I bought my house* to guarantee that the release date will not be broken. We have different postage dates for here and Europe - we can ship to Europe tomorrow because it wont get there till at least Tuesday but we can't ship to Ireland tomorrow because it would most likely arrive on Monday. Retaillers are being watched like hawks for this one so it would be a very brave / foolish or big enough not to care retailler who puts this out before midnight on Monday into Tuesday morning.

are they definatly resettin stats,how do u know this,im chuffed if they do, i feel sick watch vids on youtube of people playin the game already
