    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good places to lock your bike near the o2, I know its not probably the best of places but none of the bikes are particularly attractive.

    Thanks,
    Lethal

Why not lock them in the 24 hour CCTV place in Drury Street and then hop on a Dublin Bike as far as Custom House Quay? Wouldn't be that far a walk up or back then.

Good idea, but I'm the only one with a card, the other three would be on foot the whole way :p

There is a pub called the boat, (its a boat in the Liffey) on the northside of the bank about 5 min walk, well light and should have a few people going by it, but I would leave my bike there to be honest!

Does the O2 not have any bike park?

They could buy a €2 three-day ticket each. Way cheaper than any taxi or buses.

Bit of a a walk again but if security is a must you could cross the toll bridge and lock it beside the toll booths. Well lit up with people working 24/7

Would I be correct in saying that requires a credit card?

How about inside along the railings? It's inside the main gates so should be safe enough you'd think. As long as you're allowed in with them that is. Dunno, just a thought.

The safest and most convenient place to lock your bike is in Fleet street carpark. Dury street isnt 24hours whereas Fleet street is. It has the added bonus of being closer. You could chance your arm and lock it to any of the railings leading up to the O2

I've had the same problem up that direction. Many many bike thieves ready to pounce in that area so I'd bring at least three locks (2 U-locks and one wire) if you're thinking of leaving it around the venue. O2 really should have better parking facilities for cyclists. It's the least they can do considering the lack of public transport up that area.

We're hoping to get their early, maybe if we are really really nice the security lads will let us lock them inside the gates. Gonna bring a U-Bolt, and two wires for mine, and I'll suggest it to the others too.

    Thanks for the suggestions lads.
