    Was anyone at the fireworks in The Weir Saturday heard the gaurds arrested someone. Wondering was he charged.

    They definitely look older than '"kids". What's with the ' in Halloween? IS there a specific reason for it?

    Yep, theres a reason.
    Its called Hallowe'en because the following day is All Hallows Day, so the day before is All Hallows Eve, which became Hallowe'en eventually. Or something like that..

    Thanks Kat. I have always spelled it Halloween so that spelling caught me by surprise. Nov 1 was always/still is All Saints [and Nov2 is All Souls Day] day when I was growing up.

    Pretty bad when i went through at about 9.30 the police were arriving and a stampede of kids went in the other direction. Also letting fireworks off along the road and at one point the "kids" dropped a match into the box of rockets.....maybe a new crowd clearing tactic because the green emptied in a flash. :rolleyes:
