    Hi,
Anybody have a good reference to a clincial trail which compares these two for the treatment of a hiatus hernia?

I have a hiatus hernia and so far my research is telling the docs in the south all prescribe nexium whereas they rarely do in the UK.

There they go with Losec which is much much cheaper.

Which begs some very obvious questions...

You have brought up similar topics a bit recently - if you are not happy with what your doctor is prescribing for you I think you need to speak to him/her. Alternatively you need to change doctors if you don't have any confidence in him/her.

Just to let you know the Irish price for Losec and Nexium for the same strength of each (not necessarily 100% equivalent but just for illustration purposes) has less than two euro in the difference with Losec being the most expensive. You got yours cheaper in the UK - they'd both be cheaper in the UK.

If you want to find studies try using google scholar but your best bet is the next time you're with your doctor ask him/her. Dont feel you can't question your doctor - in fact it's important you do so you are happy with your treatment
