Just sticking this up here for the month as there are quite a few boardsies involved and we have a dedicated Moards forum.

Welcome to the Moards team forum!

Moards was one of the teams that participated in the Movember event in 2008. The team comprised of several boards.ie members. Movember is an annual month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November.

The entrants register at the start of the month clean shaven and the aim is to have a weird/wacky/cool mustache by the end of the month. There's also a big party at the end and prizes.

The idea behind it is that you get sponsorship from people to grow your mustache, and funds raised go to the local cancer society in your country. The purpose is two fold, to raise money for the charity and to raise awareness of mens health issues (specifically prostate cancer).

Well... 2008 was the first year for Ireland and the Irish cancer society were the charity involved here.
The Moards team raised a total of €3,688.45 which went to the Irish Cancer Society's "Action Prostate Initiative".

To find out more information, and also to register please visit http://ie.movember.com. Registration re-opens in September.

That figure from last year was excellent considering they only had seven participants. There are 22 members participating this year all throughout boards from different forums.

Please support this in any way you can.

    Thanks you all.

I'll meet you in Derry some day before the end of the month if you like and I'll throw a few quid at you.

    How does that sound?
