I've a manual 2005 523i and no issues so far.
I do quite a mix of driving and get anything as low as 20mpg of sitting in stop-start driving up as far as 35/36mpg if doing long distance drives down the country.
€18950 is a bit steep, I'd only go as high as €17500 now.
Strange that it has a normal key start for the ignition. I would have thought it would have had a starter button.
