imovie 09 quits unexpectedly

Hi guys, New to Mac following many years with PC. One of the big things for me switching was imovie (home movies of kids etc), however, Everytime I add titles or transitions it quits unexpectedly (it actually says that). Hi guys,

New to Mac following many years with PC. One of the big things for me switching was imovie (home movies of kids etc), however, Everytime I add titles or transitions it quits unexpectedly (it actually says that). It gives me the option to reopen & all my work is gone.

Any ideas how to stop this happening ? I've trawled the net & nothing I've found seems to work. One thing that has come up repeatedly was to disable plugins, but I don't know where they are.

Have you run software update to make sure your operating system and iMovie are up to date?
