Job Prospects/Move to Edinburgh

Hi I am planning to move to edinburgh after xmas as contract not been renewed at work. can anyone tell me what the job prospects are like at the moment over there.. would be looking for general admin office/accounts assistant jobs. Also has anyone made the move recently.. good or bad idea? thanks in advance:D
