Dont know if this is the right place to post so mods please move if not.

Anyway my questions is do people still stop drinking in November (all souls). I do and so do most of my family.

The thing is a lot of my friends have never heard of this. Just wondering what other peoples toughts are on this.

Yep, I'm doing this as well. Making a consious decision to go out every weekend as well so that I prove to myself I don't need drink to go clubbing, etc. Whenever I mention going off the drink for November / Easter it's amazing how many people say "You not heading out for the next month so?". As if it would be impossible to head out and not drink :D .

A good few of my mates are doing it as well, but I'm suspecting very few of them will last the month :( .

One weekend down. Was actually great craic even without drink. Watched the fight in a mates house, went to the pub, then club. Everyone was in great form and easy to get along with regardless of drink.

But giving them a lift home; had to stop 3 times for one lad to get sick and another lad just passed out as soon as he hopped into the car. Delighted I'm not them today :D .

Next weekend is going to be tougher though, big birthday party with people I haven't seen in ages so very tempted.
