    Hi All,

I'm going to buy a 2nd hand car for under 2k euros. Just wondering what are the benefits of buying a petrol car rather a Diesel ? (Diesel is cheap isn't it ?)

    thanks !

Diesel is a lot cheaper, but it is also alot noisier and the engine block of the car has to be made from steel, so there is a bit of a weight problem as well, i would go for diesel.

depends on the mileage you do per year and if the premium you pay for the diesel variant over the petrol variant will balance out.

not sure what premium means... is it the insurance or some tax ?

does it means that Diesel pays more taxes+insurance that Petrol ?

It means Diesel cars cost more to buy and this extra cost must be offset against the saving you will make during ownership on fuel.

At the moment road tax is same for Diesel and Petrol but you never know...
