    Hi Guys,

Came across this website recently, it basically sets up your company for you, check out what they do for €294...

    http://www.companysetup.ie/companyformation/companyformation6.htm

.....Can I do all this myself and cheaper, or is it better for them to do?

    Thanks

You can do it cheaper yourself, but it will probably be more straight forward for you going through one of these company set up businesses, especially if you have not set up a company before as articles of association and the other necessary docs can be quite complicated and the CRO will keep sending them back to you if they are not correct, which might mean a delay in getting your company incorporated, this is especially important as the 3 year tax exemption for new companies only applies to companies that commence trading in 2009

    Hi ShadowFox,

There are a number of companies offering similar services to companysetup.ie. Might be worth shopping around, for example:

http://www.setmycompanyup.ie/ charge €49.95 plus the CRO fee. They are an Irish company and they give 10% of the fee to an Irish charity.

http://www.registeracompany.ie/ charge €75 plus the CRO fee. A New Zealand registered company with no irish office but offices in the UK.

    Hope this helps...

    Dave

You arent allowed advertise your business, read the charter.

OP if you are setting up a business as opposed to a company definitely just do it yourself ie sole trader etc. If its a company its slightly harder but I wouldnt be spending huge amounts of money on it as a lot of those companies charge very high for a simple service of filing a few forms on your behalf.

I looked at this crowd - http://www.registeracompany.ie/ - as previous feeback says, the process is a bit of a ballache and, if someone can do it for you for €75, go for it. My understanding with these types of company is that once you type in the details, they generate all the required forms, Memo and Arts etc meaning you don't have to.

Or your accountant might do it for you for you on the cheap if they are also looking after your accounts etc.
