    Hi,
Maybe someone can direct me to a better suited page, im lookin for advice... My mum died suddendly 4 years ago, circumstances were bad. my dad met someone a year later who i despise. i liked her at the start but she never liked me. They abandoned my younger brother (14) and left my older bro to look after him. I cant let go, i dream about my mum all the time. I Cant see myself ever speaking to my dad again...

    Hey,

There are some vague things in your post. For example, when you say 'abandoned', what exactly do you mean? They can't have just ditched him somewhere and then left. For the record too, you don't ever have to speak to your dad or his new partner again. He's just a person now and if having him in yuor life is causing you pain, then move on and never look back.

We aren't obliged to anyting in life that we don't want to, and that includes remaining in touch with people.

Would you consider going to speak to a professional? I don't say that to cast any aspersions over yourself, even without the general terminology you give - there will be many reasons behind what has happened to you & how you feel now & I think you'd get much more from speaking to someone 1-1 than talking to the interweb in general.

It sounds like a lot of awful tough situations to deal with within a relatively short period of time and maybe having someone to speak to who is just in your corner would distinguish the issues and help you to work through them, best of luck.

When you lose one parent your greatest fear is losing the other. Even if they are wicked. And OP has now lost both of them.

I think professional advice would be best.
