    Hi all,

I'm thinking about getting a new phone over the next few months and would like to ask a few basic questions about the iPhone, seems to be impossible to get this info from the O2 website:

1- Can the iPhone use my wifi network at home?
2- How is data charged for? Would the basic 40 euro plan with O2 cover regular use of internet/surfing?
3- I see that 1GB of data is included, is this per day, per month?? And what are you charged if you exceed this?? Seems a bit low tbh.

Anyway, I've been on 'pay as you go' for the last few years, and now that i'm travelling for business a bit more, I need something which is a bit more reliable than bloody Meteor and it's crappy roaming policy.

Lastly, would you recommend the iPhone??

    Thanks!!!!!!! :D

If you use the search facility, you'll find answers to those questions and more.

    1) Yes
    2) you need a data plan with O2, the iPhone plan includes 1GB
    3) Per month, and seen as O2 won't enable tethering and won't give realistic answers on same, you'd find it hard to use over 500MB.

    1.yes
    2. I find the 1gb data from vodafone plenty . If I am doing downloads I make sure I'm over wifi. For browsing and mail using 3g it's loads . Plus vodafone let me carry over any unused . ask 02 if they do ?

    3. See no. 2

As for recommending the iPhone . . I have owned many mobile devices and can safely say the iPhone blows em all out of the water. Just google apples sales and progress and how all the competition are rattled . The iPhone is trailblazing all aspects from a phone to a mobile business device , gaming, and not mention the hundreds of thousands of apps.

    E.g
just used Tom Tom satnav app in the car this morning driving from Kildare . Came home and made a free skype call to friend and now have just enjoyed a game of Rock Band , which to me is nearly as enjoyable as the ps3.
Not to mention having just been on line surfing and typing this as if I was sitting at my laptop.
