    Hi

Would anyone of you experts know whether it would be better to change euros into Australian dollars here (probably at the currency exchange place on College Green),. or bring the euros and change them there in Australia.

cheers if anyone can suggest the best way . thanks

Depends. What kind of figures are we talking here?

For me, I don't bother exchanging and just use my ATM wherever I go. Typically, I'm just as likely to get the best rate from my card/bank as I am any official Bureau de Change, is a lot easier and a lot safer. If the figures are just a couple hundred, then I wouldn't worry too much as the difference will only be a few cent.

Agreed, unless you're moving there long term just use your Irish ATM and/or credit card.

Using your Laser card in Australia is pretty expensive. The charges range from between €3 and €11 for every withdrawal you make. If you have a credit card, put it into credit and use that, then you won't be charged.
